A truck accident on July 27 claimed the life on one New York man, according to sources. An 18-wheeler burst into flames on Route 17 in Bergen County, New Jersey after crashing into a building. The driver of the truck died on the scene. Using dental records, the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as Jan G. Sanon. Sanon’s body was so badly burned in the fire it was not recognizable.
Hasbrouk Heights Police Officer Ian Robertson said that the accident investigation remains in the early stages, and they have not determined a cause of the accident. The building sustained fire damage, but no one inside was seriously injured.
