NY Neighborhood Evacuated After Truck Accident

Residents in suburban Buffalo were ordered to evacuate after a gas line was ruptured following a truck accident on September 9. According to The Wall Street Journal, the truck was traveling westbound on Interstate 90 at about 2:30 am when it sideswiped a pickup truck before veering across the median.

Authorities were able to quickly shut down the gas line. Residents in nearby Lancaster were evacuated as a precaution. The driver is being treated in a nearby hospital.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the accident.
