A truck accident near the Lincoln Tunnel on the New York-New Jersey border caused major traffic delays on December 14, according to CBS News. A semi truck overturned on the Helix during morning commute hours.
The crash happened at about 5 a.m. and it took until almost 8 a.m. to get the truck moved off the highway. Traffic was diverted through Weehawken, and buses were diverted to Secaucus Junction. Haz mat responders were called in to clean up the oil that spilled from the accident.
One minor injury was reported. The victim’s name was not released and they were reportedly transported to Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City. The accident is still under investigation.
