According to PhillyBurbs.com, a New Jersey state trooper was injured during car accident on July 8 on Interstate 295 in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. The trooper has been identified as Tomasz Kuras and his injuries are not life threatening.
The accident occurred after Kuras’s police cruiser collided with a pickup truck in the southbound lanes neat Exit 36 at around 5 p.m., according to Sgt. Brian Polite. Kuras was stuck in his car following the accident because his leg was pinned and he had to be extricated.
Kuras was taken from the scene to Cooper University Hospital in Camden and remained there the following day as well. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Traffic was backed up for over an hour according to reporters.
