An accident involving three cars and one dump truck in Warren County, New Jersey claimed one life and left one other person seriously injured, according to NJ.com. A vehicle traveling east on Route 46 veered across the centerline and collided head-on with a dump truck traveling in the opposite direction.

The dump truck then veered back into the eastbound lanes and landed on another car, according to Sgt. Brian Polite of the New Jersey State Police. The debris from the impact struck and damaged a third car.

The driver of the car that struck the truck head-on was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the car that the truck landed on was airlifted to Morristown Memorial hospital and treated for serious injuries, said Polite. The two other drivers were taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation, but suffered no reported injuries.

The dump truck accident remains under investigation; it is unknown at this time what caused the car to lose control and veer into the oncoming lane. Please visit our website today for more information on truck accidents and call our office at (732) 636-3030.
