Four people were injured in a Manchester Township four-vehicle accident on October 31 on Route 70 when one vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic. The accident occurred around 12:42 p.m. near mile marker 41.5 and, according to authorities, the exact cause for the accident is still under investigation.
According to police Capt. Lisa Parker, a Honda Civic heading west on Route 70 crossed the centerline of the road, causing a head-on collision with a Subaru heading east. A Ford van heading west and a Buick heading east were also involved in the collision. The driver of the Honda that drove into traffic suffered severe internal injuries and leg fractures in the collision and was taken to a nearby hospital via medevac helicopter.
