A driver died in a truck accident in Bernardsville, New Jersey on January 18, according to MyCentralJersey.com. Two other motorists were trapped in their vehicle in the three-car accident near the intersection of Route 202 and Whitenack Road.
The fatal accident is still under investigation, according to Police Chief Kevin Valentine. The Bernardsville Police Department and the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team are determined to uncover the cause of the accident.
The only injuries and fatality were to the drivers of the three vehicles, and no other passengers were involved. The truck driver, 36-year-old Vidal J. Torres-Merced, was flown to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The other two drivers, identified as a 53-year-old woman and another woman, were taken to the hospital with injuries.
